Centre Waives off  Customs Duty on imports of Covid-19 Drug like Remdesivir.

On Tuesday, 20th April 2021 – Centre Waives off Customs Duty on imports of Covid-19 Drug like Remdesivir. The Ministry of Finance via their Twitter handle announced their decision to waive off customs duty on imports of Covid-19 Drugs like Remdesivir

The items on which the duty has been waived include Remdesivir active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), injection Remdesivir, and beta Cyclodextrinused in the manufacture of Remdesivir.

Because the patients Of Covid-19 Increasing And need Good vaccination

MoF said that the Central Govt. has fully exempted Imports duty on Covid-19 Drug Remdesivir and its active pharmaceutical ingredients

The importer however is asked to follow procedure and

guidelines as mentioned in Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty Rules 2017.

It shall be noted that in all parts of the world remdesivir is being used as a Covid-19 Treatment drug

Hence it is seen by many as a welcome move by the Centre Waives off Customs Duty on imports of Covid-19 Drug like Remdesivir.
